The darkest part of the flower has to land on the darkest part of the old tattoo, and the leaves have to pass the ends of a word or a scar.

Florals can stay smaller than a Japanese sleeve, which is why they show up on forearms, wrists, and the upper back. Photograph the whole area so the leaves have room in the preview.
